Sunset
It was the second most beautiful time of the day, sunset! Those of you who are thinking the first most beautiful time of the day must be a good morning message in your WhatsApp window, sorry to disappoint you, look outside the window in the morning, I meant sunrise. Well, I was watching sunset from the terrace of my home.
Given it was such a pleasant weather with cool breeze, no wonder my eyes were experiencing an added romance to the unfolding drama in the sky, of course other spectators were the lively whistling (in acknowledgement to the sunset) birds while snowy white clouds were passing by in such a mellow fashion as if their movement was musically measured by the colourful chirping birds, who knows which mountain had invited them for a kiss! All at the same time, moon who was hiding behind the screen (clouds) getting ready for his role on the sky stage was complaining to the director (creator) about not being given at least once in a lifetime opportunity to watch the sun setting drama. But, the creator with his usual poise acknowledged a smile conveying that there is a reason for everything that he does which was enough to set the moon cool. Now comes the flock of singing birds just with their natural flight formed an enigmatic pattern in the sky, branches of a big banyan tree swaying to these tunes produced a gentle wind, humble grasses down on the lands yielded to it with full heart, clouds moved closer to the mountain. Yes!, while all the characters were doing their bit adding to the aesthetics, exactly at that time the creator unveiled his ultimate craft of turning sky into amber, presenting to the scene ‘twilight’, the most romantic hour of the day timing it all perfectly well resulting in the climax (pun unintentional) – the golden plate sank in, blushing red on the horizon for stealing just in time glimpse of dancing clouds planting a peck on the cheek of mighty mountain. So full was I experiencing this perfect cosmic concert, post which, I stood still with my eyes closed sinking ecstatically in the sands of time with my every cell expressing gratitude for what was happening inside me…
